Brief History

Luang Phor Koon( Parisuttho) was born on Thursday, 4th October BE 2466 in year of pig. Luang Phor Koon was ordained as a monk at the age of 21 years old at Wat Thanon HakYai on 5th May BE 2487. 

Besides he learn dhamma and samadi, He also known to possess Wichah (magic). In the year 1993, before Luang Phor Koon famous I collect the amulet from the Wat Banrai, Nakhon Ratchasima.I don’t believe whose luang phor smoke the cigar and squatt and blessed the devotees. Luang Phor Koon will meet them personally and bless by whacked by the newspaper or magazine he carried.

Luang Phor Koon was gradually gaining popularity in Nakhon Ratchasima. Luang Phor Koon wanted help to build a temple, school and hospital in the Nakhon province, many people come forward to help and donate freely. In the 1995, Dec 23th, I went to Wat Ban Rai, Dan Khun Thot district’s Ban Rai Temple , Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) it takes one half day by bas from Kuala Lumpur to Nakhon Ratchasima.

In the 3 days, I witness some thousand people come to Wat Ban Rai  want to meet Luang Phor Koon personally  and blessed for the luck and business. After the 3 days, on Saturday, I decided to insert the takrud under the arm in the both hands. The kamakan (committee member) insert the takrud and Luang Phor Koon blessed the takrud by the his spit on the Luang Phor Koon saliva.Luang Phor Koon fame reached new heights in 1993, when a woman was pulled alive from the rubble of a collapsed hotel wearing the Luang Phor Koon amulet with his image on it. 

Luang Phor Koon 84 year old had stopped meeting the devotees due to poor health condition. Luang Phor Koon had stopped inserting takrut to devotees for many years due to his old age, at the present time, one of his closest disciples have replaced him.

On Saturday 16 May 2558 (2015) at 11.45am the revered abbot Luang Phor Khoon passed away according to the fourth statement of Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital. He was 92 years old. In Luang Phor Koon's  RECORDED WILL statement made in June 2004(2547), Luang Phor Koon asked that his body be donated to the Khon Kaen University's Faculty of Medicine within 24 hours of his death. 

He wanted a simple funeral which will be held for 7 days. After this period, the body would be preserved for one year before being used for 2-3 years of anatomy studies at Khon Kaen University's Faculty of Medicine. After his body is returned to Wat Ban Rai, it will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered along Mekong River. Luang Phor Koon prohibited his disciples from seeking a royal cremation according to the will requested.
